Australian 457 Business Sponsored Visa
To employ people to work in Australia.
With the 457 business sponsored visa, you can employ overseas workers to complete specific contracts.
Your employees can:
- Work in Australia for between one day and four years(dependant on the agreed contract).
- Have no limit on the number of times they depart and re-enter Australia.
Dependants may also be included in the 457 business sponsored visa application. The following people may apply to accompany you to Australia. Secondary applicants/dependants may work or study:
- Your partner
- Your dependent child/children or your partner's dependent child/children
- In certain circumstances, other dependent relatives or your partner's other dependent relatives
How To Apply
There are three stages which must be completed to enable this visa to be finalized:
- Stage 1: Sponsorship
- The employer needs approval as a 457 business sponsor (valid for 3 years, no limit to the number of people that can be nominated).
- Stage 2: Nomination
- The employer nominates a position that they would like to fill with an overseas employee.
- The employer will have to identify the skills and experience required for the position.
- Stage 3: Visa Application
- The employee applies for the visa to allow them to enter and work in Australia.
As part of the visa application stage, the employee will need to demonstrate that they have the appropriate skills to match the nominated position. Examples of evidence include certified copies of qualifications and training, and employment references.

You will be required to register initially with our company at a cost of $96.00 USD, after which we will email a personalised pack including the application forms and list of required documents.
Duration
The duration of the 457 sponsorship visa will depend on the length of contract.
If you have an employee who wants to apply for a new visa (when their current visa is about to expire), a new nomination and visa application must be lodged.
